Impact & Projects: Sport for Social Change

Through sports, we address critical societal challenges and strengthen community awareness in collaboration with stakeholders.

Youth in a safe zone discussing SRGBV

The Safe Zone Initiative: SRGBV Awareness

We use sports as a vehicle to deliver sensitization on School-Related Gender Based Violence (SRGBV), equipping youth with knowledge to recognize and prevent violence.

This project runs year-round, integrating educational modules into regular training sessions. We partner with local schools and community centers to provide a secure environment where participants feel comfortable discussing sensitive topics. Our trained coaches act as peer-to-peer mentors, helping to shift cultural norms and promote equality, directly addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Community health screening event

Health Outreach: Cancer & NCDs Screening

We host community events providing free cancer and NCDs screening (Non-Communicable Diseases) along with vital advice and education.

These outreach programs are held quarterly in partnership with local health institutions. By leveraging the large turnout for our sporting events, we ensure critical health information and preventative care reach underserved populations. We focus specifically on early detection for common regional cancers and lifestyle management for diabetes and hypertension.

Youth participating in a leadership workshop

Leadership Skills Training

Carrying out training to mentor and empower exemplary role models that inspire the next generation and increase club value.

Our intensive Leadership Academy focuses on practical skills like public speaking, financial literacy, and conflict resolution. We believe that turning players into leaders both on and off the field creates sustainable community change. Graduates of this program often become coaches and volunteer staff within the Swans Sports Club, ensuring a strong, continuous mentorship pipeline.
